About Me

Born and raised in Izmir/Türkiye, I have called Vienna my home since 2017. I’m an artist, designer, musician and civil engineer. After completing my B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, I moved to Vienna to study Design and Space along with Graphic Design at the kunstschule.wien. Throughout my career I have worked with many international artists and design studios on projects, such as art exhibitions and more generally artistic production, architecture & interior design.

As an engineer, safety is one of the most important factors, followed by cost effectiveness and aesthetics, my personal ambition is to combine these in a unique way. They are as diverse as cultural craftsmanship, colour combinations, material sensations. The aim is to arrange them in new, conceptually layered installations. Each work or project is a fluid exchange of knowledge in which I seek to learn, develop and share my new skills, often consisting of several pieces grouped around specific themes and meanings. Natural elements such as earth and water, shaped in a unique geometric way, are often the main protagonists of my projects. In 2021 I created an archiquant made of soil, “Mother Earth”, which represents an idea of a social meeting place in an urban context.

My musical journey developed in the Viennese duo “Zack Zack Zack”, which has been performing at unique events all over Europe since 2019. Recently I started my personal sound project “Cemgil”, which forges an experimental union between East and West, bringing together dark ambient noises with 80s dark disco, while combining artistic endeavors as the essence of the project itself.
